Introduction of zinc alloy die casting process
[Zinc Alloy Die Casting] Casting is a metal thermal processing technology mastered by human beings at an early stage and is one of the basic processes of the modern machinery manufacturing industry. The cast blank is nearly machine-formed and achieves the goal of machining-free or small-scale processing, reducing costs and reducing time to some extent.
Metal casting is a process in which a molten metal liquid is injected into a hollow mold made of a high temperature resistant material, and condensed to obtain a desired shape; the obtained product is a casting.
Casting classification
First, gravity casting | Gravity Casting
It refers to the process of injecting molten metal into the mold under the action of gravity of the earth, also called casting. The molten metal is generally poured into the gate by hand, and the product is obtained by filling the cavity with the self-weight of the molten metal, exhausting, cooling, and opening the mold.
Gravity casting has the advantages of simple process, low mold cost, less internal pores, heat treatment, etc., but at the same time, it has poor compactness, poor strength, and is not suitable for producing thin-walled parts, low surface finish, low production efficiency and high cost.
Second, pressure casting (die casting) | Die Casting
Under the action of high pressure, a liquid or semi-liquid metal is filled at a high speed to mold a die-cast type (die-casting mold) cavity, and molded and solidified under pressure to obtain a zinc alloy die-casting part.
High-pressure casting can quickly fill, high production efficiency, good product compactness, high hardness, good surface finish, and can produce parts with relatively thin wall thickness. At the same time, due to the use of high-pressure air for filling, the internal gas is more involved, easy The pores are formed inside the product, so heat treatment cannot be performed (the internal gas will swell during heat treatment, resulting in defects such as bulging or cracking of the product) and the post-machining of excessive processing (avoiding penetration of the surface dense layer to expose the subcutaneous pores, Caused the scrapping of zinc alloy die castings).
CNC|CNC machine tools
CNC is commonly known as "CNC machine tool", which is an automated machine tool controlled by a program. The control system can logically process the program with the control code or other symbolic instructions, and through computer decoding, the machine tool can perform the prescribed action, and a piece of original metal sheet is processed through a long time, and finally the desired one is created. Shape, zinc alloy die-casting plants are generally used to rough-cast die-casting mold parts, or to process high-precision zinc alloy die-casting parts.
